Sophie is admitted to hospital with a fainting spell. She has recently started feeling sick all the time and has a headache. She fears she might be pregnant again. And now she is diagnosed with a brain tumor. Her husband Joachim is never around and their three sons consume all her energy. She throws herself into an affair with the doctor Paul Wolff in order to feel alive again.

Podiak marriage are on vacation in a cruise. Suzanne, who is fed up of her husband mistreatment, decides to get out through overboard, leaving a goodbye lettre, but during her funeral her husband discover that she is not death.

He recently bickered with boss Toni Riedelsberger and had an adulterous affair with waitress Lisa Breuninger but refused to get a divorce. Accountant Claudia Henning, Ganting mayor Karl Schretzmeyer's new anti-corruption officer, herself suspected of tax fraud, was also involved. Jo needs to wriggle out of his lease, as Schratter withheld expensive information from him, such as the expensive lease of the land, which belongs to Ganting.
